How to achieve work life balance

I’m guessing you clicked on this post as you’re at the top, already great at what you do.

But with that drive to continuously move forward…you want to be better.

The issue with that is that while performing at the top can be a tremendous high…

It is often matched with some low low’s, never-ending challenges, fires to put out, along with the stress and pressure to get results.

That can quickly lead to working 60+ hour weeks, burning the candle at both ends and pushing yourself to the limit.

Before long the expectations you place on yourself to maintain a certain standard can take their toll, making your work life balance completely out of sync.

Causing you to strain your relationships, feel unconnected to your family, becoming burnt out, exhausted, barely sleeping and on edge.

The good news is…

There is a solution.

Now, you’re probably thinking I’m about to dive into how you need to meditate more, give you some productivity hacks or focus on time management.

Sure, those help keep you ‘good’.

But screw being good.

This is all about empowering you to become GREAT.

You see, proper work life balance is all about being able to expend your energy to the parts of your life that matter to you, with a grounded sense of purpose, freedom, passion and abundance.

That’s why I’m going to show you how to elevate yourself to reach the next level, using a 4-step process to optimise you for success.

Unlocking the ability to mentally, physically and emotionally perform as your BEST self, so that you can create unstoppable momentum and exponential results in every aspect for your life.

Along the way I’ll also show you examples of the steps in action.

Step 1: Clarity

The reality is you can’t move forward if you don’t know where you’re going, or more importantly, what is holding you back.

That’s why I want you to perform an honest self-assessment:

Where in your life are you excelling?

Where are you holding yourself back?

Where aren’t you focusing as much as you should?

What is it you truly value?

What are the biggest changes you need to make to live the life you want?

Using this clarity, you can then reverse engineer the process, working out a step by step plan to get you from where you are, to where you want to be.

I’ll show you how you can create and implement that blueprint at the end of this post.

Step 2: Self-Belief Reprogramming

Probably the biggest barrier in a high performers way…is themselves.

Often letting mental road blocks hold them back.

This can be especially true if they hit a challenge or setback, letting that voice in their head affect their confidence and self-esteem.

Because just think, how often has this led to procrastination, loss in motivation or self-doubt, affecting your focus and performance?

And how much better would your results be if you could sustain mentally performing at the top of your game?

That’s why we need to go through a process of self-belief reprogramming to level up your way of thinking.

You see, by getting to the core of the problem and reprogramming your unconscious mind, you can reverse the thoughts and stories in your head.

Silencing the voice that fills your head with negative thoughts, doubts and fears, putting you in control of your thoughts, actions and responses.

Step 3: The Performance Upgrade Protocol

If you want to perform at the highest level, there’s 3 pillars we have to optimise so that you can mentally, physically and emotionally show up as your best self in everything you do.

Pillar 1: Mindset

Being at the top can be a rollercoaster ride of emotions, where one day you feel unstoppable, and the next everything is falling apart.

That’s why we need to bulletproof your thought to have that unwavering resolve, confidence and self-belief.

Pillar 2: Performance

Focusing on consistent results by improving communication, how you deal with conflict, your focus, ability to lead, time management and your ability to prioritize.

This is all about allowing you to work smarter, not harder – a key differentiation between high performers and burnt out workaholics.

Pillar 3: Wellbeing

The reality is you can’t expect to perform at the top if you are burnout and exhausted, barely having the energy to make it through the day or getting sick.

That’s why we have to optimise your health to sustain your wellbeing, focusing on what you eat, your body’s conditioning, and sleep.

Now you may be thinking…’I don’t have time for that’.

But the reality is that research has PROVEN the importance of these factors, and just look at any top from Richard Branson to Elon Musk, Tony Robbins or Gary Vaynerchuk, they all have this as a non-negotiable, ingrained part of their routine.

With the right plan and tailored approach though you can incorporate all of these into your life, without adding any more pressure or taking up more time than is needed.

Pillar 4: Peak Balancing

There’s no point rising to the top if staying there means working 60-hour weeks, never seeing your family or living your life.

That’s why this 4-step process is all about optimising you in a way that you can reach a state of PEAK performance and sustain it as well.

That’s why with the right shift, you can balance your success with other aspects of your life.

Putting it all together

I have found time and time again that when I take this process and tailor it around a high performers goals, routine and the changes they want to make, THIS is how they elevate themselves to the next level.

Unlocking their ability to wake up every day with confidence, energy, passion and purpose, with the drive and focus to accelerate their impact, significance, advancement and success.

THIS is how you not only rise to the top, but stay there as well.

But what does that mean for you? And how can you apply this to your life?

Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as saying ‘do this’, as just like with anything there are so many variables that will impact the process.

But that doesn’t mean I’m going to leave you to face it on your own, so here’s what I’m going to do.

The fact that you’ve read this far obviously means this process has peaked your interest and you’re struggling in some area of your life right now.

So I want to invite you to book a call directly with me, where together we can uncover what’s holding you back and put together a plan to get you from where you are, to where you want to be.

Then at the end of that call you can either take that plan and do it on your own.

Or if we both feel it’s the right fit, we can discuss what working together to implement these changes would look like.

As this is the 4 steps I use on my Peak Performance coaching where I help executives and entrepreneurs become the best version of themselves.

And let’s see how we can get you to mentally, physically and emotionally perform as your best self, as you go from great, to better, all while balancing your success with your life.
